NEWSPAPERS / MAGAZINES /JUNK MAIL
WE ACCEPT: newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail (open junk mail and remove sticky address labels and/or any plastics), paperback books, white or pastel office quality paper, and envelopes. Shredded paper is okay. Please remove and discard plastic wraps. Empty paper out of the sack, bag or box you brought it in. (Brown bags and boxes go with cardboard.)
WE DO NOT ACCEPT: plastic newspaper delivery bags, hardcover books, carbons, kraft paper (brown envelopes), ream wrappers, tissue or paper towels, gift wrap, greeting cards or photographs.
SINGLE-LAYER CHIP BOARD
WE ACCEPT FLATTENED: cereal/cracker boxes, (with liners removed), 6 or 12 pk soda/beer containers, paper egg cartons, toilet/paper towel tubes, construction paper, poster board
NO milk / juice cartons
NO plastic sacks
NO waxy chipboard
NO chipboard w/detergent residue (e.g. dish detergent, laundry soap)
NO paper plates/food soiled chipboard
NO greeting cards or gift wrap
WE DO NOT ACCEPT:
GLOSSY CORRUGATED CARDBOARD
(Thicker, heavy cardboard with a wavy-like layer in the middle, and has a glossy or waxed appearance.)
BROWN PAPER SACKS
WE ACCEPT: non-glossy, unwaxed corrugated cardboard (corrugated cardboard will have two layers of cardboard separated by a ruffle/wavy piece of cardboard)
Please FLATTEN all boxes and remove packing paper, peanuts, etc.
Put brown paper sacks with cardboard boxes (not with newspapers).
NO cereal boxes, (or the like) soda can cartons, paper towel rolls, egg cartons, etc. Place these items with chipboard
GLASS JARS AND BOTTLES
Green & Brown glass jars, bottles, jugs
Clear bottles are separate

WE DO NOT ACCEPT: glass that is not a bottle, jar, or jug. We do not take pyrex, ceramics, drinking glasses, vases, plate glass, light bulbs, corks, foil, etc.

(Limit size to 5gal. and under)
ALUMINUM AND STEEL CANS
Please remove and discard plastic lids.
Rinse and drain food containers.
Completely drain non food containers.
WE ACCEPT: Solid #1, #2, & #5 plastic containers*, any aluminum food or beverage can, steel cans (including empty paint and aerosol cans), and steel lids from glass containers.
KEEP GLASS SEPARATE FROM ALL OF THESE MATERIALS.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT: plastic bags, (check local grocery stores for recycling), #3, #4, #6, & #7 plastics, TV dinner trays, aluminum foil, pie tins, steel or aluminum scrap pieces.
*Due to the disappearance of domestic markets for such items, CRS will not be able to accept “Blister,” commonly used as clear plastic salad, vegetable and take out containers.
